It requests copies of the report of a majority of the Reconstruction Committee made by William P. Fessenden of Maine. The minority was Johnson and Andrew J. Rogers of N.J. This request was made with a view to approaching the Supreme Court in February. Another letter, dated Sept. 26, 1872, was addressed to General John Cockrane of N.Y., and was written in support of the election of Horace Greeley.
